Sunday 25th August
The weather was on our side despite it being an August bank holiday! We had a wonderful meat and vegetarian BBQ with salads and, of course, the occasional be hot or cold beverage. As always, this was a great event
Why not join us on the 22nd September for the results of the Potato Sack Competition Weigh-in and maybe a bacon bap (or two).
Sunday 21st July
Cream teas and savoury alternatives were very much enjoyed by the many people who came along to the allotment for a wander, a tour or simply to enjoy the refreshments in such a green and peaceful setting.
Why not join us on the 25th August for our Plot Holder's Tea Party?
Sunday 23rd June
Another wonderful community allotment event. There was a barbecue, lots of sweet treats which contained strawberries and some games.
Sunday 21st April 9.30-12.30pm
A huge thank you to the plot holders who helped with the site tidying - so many areas look so much better.
There are 120 full plots on the site. However, many of these plots have been divided in half. A full plot is 250 square meters and, therefore, a half plot is 125 square meters.
A full plot rent per annum is £50, half plot £25 and membership fee £2.50.
The income comes from plot holder rents and members subscription fees. This income is used to run the site and maintain and improve the facilities.
There are water butts within easy access of each of the plots.
The Sunday shop offers seeds etc at excellent prices and has kitchen facilities where your can make yourself a tea or coffee. The proceeds from which go to charity.

The committee is often looking for new members so, if you are interested, do let them know.
Being part of a committee is not for everyone and that's fine, but there are a number of jobs that need doing around the allotment and it would be great to have assistance with these either on a regular or one-off basis. Examples of the jobs are maintaining the 'public' pathways and car park and pruning. If you would be happy to help and see a job that needs doing it would be fantastic if you would do it or, at the very least, let someone know by popping into the shop or sending an email to a member of the committee.
What would really help is if everyone, after using the facilities, made sure that they are ready for the next person to use. In other words - if you make a mess, clean it up!
Coffee and tea are available through our shop on a Sunday morning and we hold special events with brunch, lunch or other (see Events page). Any profits from these go to our chosen charities:
We also support Farnborough Village Society and their tending of the church gardens and the War Memorial.

FAQs
Q. Is there a waiting list?
A. Yes, but your name can be added either by coming into the shop on a Sunday morning between 10 and 12 or by sending an email to fhallotmentsltd@gmail.com.
Q. Am I allowed to grow flowers?
A. Yes. It is up to you what you choose to grow as long as it isn't illegal or has a detrimental effect on neighbouring plots.
Q. How do you get access to the allotment?
A. Each plot holder gets a key which will fit each of the gate padlocks providing access to the allotment. There is a deposit for the key which will be returned in the event you give up your plot.
Q. Can I copy my gate key?
A. No.
Q. Is there a limit to the size of the shed allowed?
A. Yes. The largest shed size allowed is 6 x 4.
Q. Does everyone have access to water?
A. Yes. There are auto-filling water butts evenly distributed throughout the allotment which can be used to fill your watering cans. You may not, however, connect any kind of watering system to the butts.
Q. Am I covered under a general allotment insurance?
A. No. Each person is personally responsibility for any injury caused. For example, if you leave a rake out on a throughway path and someone hurts themselves you are responsible.
Q. Is my vehicle covered under allotment insurance?
A. No. Any vehicle left on the site is done so at the owner's risk.
